In December we made our way from Texas back to Los Angeles with a few pit stops along the way. I’ve been wanting to see the White Sands National Monument forever because duh- it’s amazing. Stark white sand dunes in the middle of nowhere. Yes, please!

The Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles is not one to miss; especially if you’re into contemporary art. As the newest member of the museum family in LA, the Broad is quickly gaining popularity by the old-school and the predictable . It was founded by Eli and Edythe Broad, and houses over 2,000 works of art with featured artists like Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Kara Walker, Ellsworth Kelly, Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, AND Takashi Murakami. Weekend Getaway: Sparrows Lodge, Palm Springs CA
Last weekend the husband and I decided to take a weekend getaway. We had both been out of town separately and wanted to getaway together. We had our hearts set on Palm Springs, but we wanted to try somewhere “new to us”. So, the Sparrows Lodge it was!
